SMD-Fine Silver Blue Ombre Apatite Triangle Necklace

This necklace should be named Bermuda Triangle. The clear blues of the apatites make me think of summer ocean at a tropical destination like Bermuda or Bahamas.

I formed a piece of .999 fine silver wire into a triangle, fused it and then hammered it to flatten and add interesting texture. Then I added patina to reveal that texture and suspended 3 faceted apatite rondelles within the triangle. The apatite rondelles range from lightest blue (and largest) on the bottom to darkest blue (and smallest) on the top. The necklace hangs from a 20" sterling silver chain finished with a sterling silver lobster clasp. The pendant itself is about 1 1/8 inch tall.

A very simple but elegant necklace with an interesting shape and fresh, clean look.
